A fifteen minute drive from Charlotte’s central business district, Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is the nation’s eighth busiest airport serving as US Airways’ largest hub and serving 32 million air travelers. CLT offers nonstop passenger service to over 80 domestic destinations and 20 international cities. Twenty cargo airlines serve the Charlotte region together with more than 70 freight forwarders, custom house brokers and professional international service providers.
Charlotte Area Transportation System Bus and Light Rail Service
The Charlotte Area Transportation System (CATS) operates more than 70 bus routes transporting more than 22 million passengers each year ad linking local and regional communities to jobs, medical facilities and entertainments. Additionally, the LYNX Blue Line is the Charlotte region’s first light rail service operating from I-485 at South Boulevard to uptown Charlotte with future extensions in the planning phase.
